A proposal for Desa Potato Head · Bali

THE WHOLE DESA.
ONE TAP.

Beach Club. Stay. Feast. Dance. Restore. Discover. Put the next part of Potato Head within easy reach, wherever a guest happens to be.

The opportunity

Not a venue.
A whole village.

A guest might arrive for a sunset drink and never realise there is a plant based dinner at Tanaman, a session at Klymax, a wellness ritual or a story behind the Waste Lab.

Tap & Grow gives each part of the Desa a useful physical entry point. The first tap answers the immediate need. The next choice opens the wider experience.

No app download. No account. Destinations can be updated as menus, events and priorities change.

Follow the guest

Different moments.
Different next steps.

Each piece has a specific role. Explore four examples of what a tap could do on site.

Make the menu the beginning, not the end.

One tap opens the relevant food and drinks menu. From there, guests can discover Kaum, Dome, Tanaman, Sunset Park, the next performance or a future stay.

A touchpoint that belongs here

Small object.
Big doorway.

At a daybed, the first screen should do one thing exceptionally well: open the menu. It can then offer a short, thoughtful route to the rest of Potato Head.

Where Tap & Grow fits

Give every area its own reason to tap.

One system of physical entry points, each leading to a relevant destination controlled by the team.

01 / BEACH CLUB

Daybeds and tables

Menus first, then daily programming, Sunset Park, dining and the next visit.

02 / SLEEP

Suites and Studios

Welcome information, breakfast, spa, gym and experiences from the room.

03 / FEAST

Restaurants and bars

Place specific menus and reservations for Kaum, Tanaman, Dome, Ijen, Akademi Bar and Sunset Park.

04 / MUSIC

Klymax and Amphitheatre

Programmes, artist stories, official tickets and the next event.

05 / WELLBEING

Spa, gym and rituals

Treatments, class schedules and a simple route to the approved booking channel.

06 / CULTURE

Art and Waste Lab

Material and artist stories, workshops, installations and the wider regeneration journey.

Good Times, Do Good

The story is already in the space.

The Beach Club’s reclaimed shutters, its artworks and the Waste Lab are visible expressions of Potato Head’s approach. A subtle plaque can turn curiosity into context at the precise moment someone notices them.

That is a more useful role for a tap than pushing a generic promotion. The guest learns something. The team learns which stories are being explored.

What this creates

A smoother journey, with clearer signals.

01

Immediate access

The relevant menu or guide is available right where the guest needs it, with no app or account.

02

More of the Desa discovered

A Beach Club guest can find a dinner, event, wellness experience or future stay through a natural next step.

03

Visibility by location

Tap counts by placement show which spaces draw interest and where the content could improve.

Taps show engagement. Sales and bookings require separate tracking.
A measured first phase

Start with twelve.
Learn. Expand.

A small pilot across the whole Desa tests where the touchpoints are useful. Tap & Grow designs the pieces, sets up approved destinations, places them with the team and reviews scan activity by location.

Menus and events remain on Potato Head’s own channels. Links can change without changing the physical products.
